Customer / Technical Support Specialist

This role is built for someone with a civil engineering or AEC background who's as comfortable talking through a technical problem as they are solving one. Support experience helps, but what matters most is a genuine interest in customer-facing work and the instinct to understand what a CAD user is actually dealing with.

About Plex-Earth:

We are looking for an Entry-Level Customer / Technical Support Specialist with an engineering-related background to join the Plex-Earth support team.

In this role, you will communicate directly with customers, help them troubleshoot technical issues, and guide them in using Plex-Earth successfully. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a technical background and strong communication skills who is interested in customer support and engineering workflows.

About the role:

  • Provide customer support for Plex-Earth users via ticket-based communication

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and guide users through solutions and best practices

  • Assist customers with subscription and licensing-related requests

  • Escalate complex issues internally when needed and follow up until resolution

  • Deliver live product demos to customers and prospects in the AEC industry

  • Contribute to internal documentation, technical writing, and tutorials

  • Help ensure support requests are handled professionally and efficiently

Key responsibilities:

  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken, almost native-level)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Topography, Geomatics, Urban Planning, or a related field (or close to completion)

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD (Civil 3D is a plus)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and stay organized

  • Willing to participate in a rotating support schedule that may require occasional off-hours ticket check-ins

Requirements:

  • Internship or academic project experience related to CAD or engineering software

  • Experience with documentation, tutorials, or technical writing

  • Knowledge or interest in content creation and marketing (e.g., tutorials, demo videos, product communication)

  • Interest or experience in other software tools used in engineering and CAD workflows
