Premium Providers - Frequently Asked Questions

Plex-Earth is a breakthrough in AEC design and planning as it incorporates the world’s premium imagery providers into a single platform, making it easier than ever before to have top-notch imagery and data for any area of your interest, within seconds.

You no longer need to go through tedious and expensive procedures to get super-recent worldwide satellite imagery from Airbus or Maxar, to access Hexagon’s country-wide 30cm orthophotos for the US, or to experience the amazing detail provided by Nearmap’s ultra-high resolution (sub-3’’) aerial imagery for urban areas in the US, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. And you don’t need a separate subscription to any of these providers either, access is included in your Plex-Earth license!

Here’s everything you need to know:

I already have a Nearmap subscription. What are the benefits of using it with Plex-Earth?

  • Fully automated process, just connect your Nearmap API key once and then use Plex-Earth as you normally would to create mosaics

  • Import Nearmap imagery even on vanilla AutoCAD

  • Have full control over your data consumption: Just select the tiles you want to import, no unnecessary panning and zooming

How do I add credits to my subscription?

Credits can be purchased in packs of 500 ($250/pack). They can be used to create imagery mosaics from all premium providers, with the following cost breakdown:

  • Nearmap:   5 credits/mosaic tile (View, Print & Download, Zoom Level 21)

  • Hexagon:    4 credits/mosaic tile (View, Print & Download, Zoom Levels 19-20)

  • Maxar:        3 credits/mosaic tile (View & Print, Zoom Levels 15-19)

  • Airbus:        2 credits/mosaic tile (View only, Zoom Levels 15-19)

The credits can be utilized across all activated workstations of a subscription. Alternatively, you have the option to specify which PCs will have access to consume credits (or utilize anAPI key).

Contact us at support@plexscape.com to order credits. Discounts are available for bulk orders.

What areas do our imagery providers cover?

Airbus / Maxar (satellite imagery): GLOBAL coverage

Hexagon (aerial imagery): Uniform quality across entire states in the US and Europe. Coverage map

Nearmap (aerial imagery): Ultra-high resolution in urban areas in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Coverage map

Where can I see how many Credits are left in my account?

You can easily access this information from within Plex-Earth, by going to “My Account”. There you will see both the total number of credits you have acquired as well as how many of these you have used up.

Can I carry over unused Credits to my next subscription term?

YES! As long as your subscription is renewed in a timely manner, all unused Credits you have purchased will be available in your next subscription term. So you can get multiple credit packs without needing to worry about using them within a specific time frame!

Note: This does not apply to the annual quotas of credits offered with Premium Plex-Earth 2025 subscriptions. These are reset upon renewal.

Will additional content be added in the future?

Yes, because our vision is to enable designers to acquire real-life data and have a complete 3D geographical view of their working sites, wherever in the world, instantly.

As such, we plan to expand our platform to include the best satellite and aerial data for any place in the world, by partnering with the top local or global data providers, under the same simple business plan.

Feel free to contact us at support@plexscape.com and help us give you all the data you need, by suggesting specific services you would like to see added to our platform.

And if you are a content provider looking for a vast market to promote your data, drop us a note at partners@plexscape.com

And, of course, new content from existing providers will be added to our platform as their service evolves.
