Let’s make your design irresistible

Impress and engage clients and stakeholders, winning their hearts, their appreciation – and the contract – by taking advantage of Google Earth’s compelling and interactive experience. Now you can export whole drawings into Google Earth, allowing everyone to easily tour and understand your design or proposals. It even helps you with such creative design touches as ensuring the best angles or views that people will see – and photograph – from inside or outside your construction!

Such elegance creates truly valuable selling points, for both the client’s project when completed, and for you as the superior designer.

Now you can boost your proposal with tours and video!

Once your project is in Google Earth you have some serious presentation power in your hands, because as well as sharing static images you can now produce and share stunning virtual tours! Creating a tour is easy, moving the camera along a specified route and showing all the important details of your design. Plex.Earth combined with Movie Maker (available in Google Earth Pro, which is now FREE!) enables you to produce high definition video which you can upload to YouTube or embed in your site. Can you imagine the possibilities?

Showcase drawings exactly as you see them in AutoCAD…

Plex.Earth uniquely supports all AutoCAD objects and preserves their look and feel when in Google Earth, such as linework, text, hatch, blocks, external references and so on.

…And maintain drawing’s structure for layers and blocks

You can dynamically select which elements are visible within Google Earth, while navigating in it. Just like in AutoCAD, once exported in Google Earth, layers can be switched on or off, so you can highlight and explain your design aspects to your customers. You can also…

Keeps information attached to drawing objects

Your drawings may contain valuable data attached to specific objects, which is necessary for someone to understand the details of your design. For example a pipe’s diameter, cable types or the area of a land parcel. This data can be in the form of object attributes or, if you use Civil 3D or Map 3D, GIS object data. In any case, Plex.Earth preserves and includes this information along with the related objects, when exported into Google Earth.

We're here for you!

We proudly offer you more than just self-service software, in fact we believe our commitment to ensuring you can use ALL the power and capabilities is one of Plex.Earth’s greatest features! Don’t hesitate to talk with us about your ongoing projects, because we will be delighted to help you – we love this stuff!

Have the perfect view of your projects

You are always looking at the bigger picture to make the best design decisions, and satellite or aerial imagery is uniquely suited to give you both invaluable understanding and advantages. It’s actually better than being there!

Use the image provider bringing you the best quality

Plex.Earth uses the best quality coming from Google Earth, Bing Maps, ArcGIS or literally any other provider (e.g. USGS, OpenStreetMap) placing them directly into your AutoCAD. It even connects to thematic maps, such as FEMA or cadastre services, combining data from various sources together.

Imports a map with two clicks in 10 seconds

Select the imagery source and specify the area to cover. In a few seconds you’ve already got the satellite or thematic map background into your drawing. That simple!

Cover huge areas automatically, in minutes

A common problem in mapping is how the bigger the area an image covers, the lower the quality and accuracy. The old solution was to manually create mosaics by splitting large areas into smaller parts; called ’tiles’. Plex.Earth automates all that for you, by importing hundreds of properly aligned high resolution images, in just a few minutes. Done!

Covering long roads or paths? No problem!

When you work with networks, roads or other corridor-type projects, you need imagery covering a band along the centerline. In Plex.Earth you just have to specify the corridor width – let your full-auto Mosaic Creator do the rest.

Merge, border clipping and other image processing capabilities

Images are not always totally perfect, so Plex.Earth comes with a full set of processing capabilities. Merge multiple images into one to significantly improve AutoCAD’s performance when it contains too many images. Clipping image borders allows you to remove decorative side-features etc etc. All the capabilities to achieve the result you desire are already built right into Plex Earth.

Do you really know the ground beneath your foundations?

Now you can design with greater confidence, because you really can see everything; every bump and dip, every channel, ridge or obstruction on the site, and the surrounding areas too. Any time you like, anywhere in the world.

Embeds surveying data into your drawings

Of course for absolute precision you also want your own land survey, so Plex.Earth creates surface models from any data set, such as points, breaklines and boundaries. It can even recognize elevation data from just raw labels.

Visualize terrain morphology with elevation contours

Any number of terrain points alone can’t visually describe the terrain. Elevation contours help everyone understand the morphology, at a glance. Simply specify the desired height intervals and Plex.Earth will generate the contours automatically. It’s useful both for design purposes and as vivid background for your layouts.

Just as you see it in Google Earth® – but better

Whether you work in a small or a large project, Plex.Earth allows you to import literally thousands of terrain elevation points from Google Earth or other providers into AutoCAD easily. You can import data either from the current view of Google Earth or to specify a grid at the desired density.
